BJP, Cong workers confront each other

When the situation turned into a heated argument between workers of both the parties, the police swung into action to control the workers. However, congress workers retaliated by shouting slogans ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’. Senior police officials warned leaders of both the parties of strict action for creating disturbance.Superintendent of Police (city) Prashant Verma said, “BJP and Congress workers who had come along with their candidates landed in a confrontation with each other. Police team controlled the situation from escalating further.” Agra: BJP and Congress workers landed in a confrontation with each other outside the district collectorate on Monday.Workers of both the parties were accompanying their candidates on Agra and Fatehpur Sikri seat to file nomination for the Lok Sabha election.BJP workers who had come along with SP Singh Baghel started raising ‘Modi-Modi’ slogans when Congress state president Raj Babbar came to the fore to file his nomination from Fatehpur Sikri seat.Babbar greeted BJP workers with joined hands and went on to file nomination inside the collectorate.
