Ahead of Lok Sabha election, over 100 men arrested in 24 hours in ‘operation dastak’

Agra: In order to ensure peaceful Lok Sabha Election, Etah police arrested over 100 men in 24 hours in a massive operation called ‘dastak’.The operation was conducted on Saturday and Sunday in which 91 men were held against whom the court had issued arrest warrants. Police also held 14 others wanted in cases of rape, assaulting woman with intent to outrage her modesty, house-trespass alter preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint, kidnapping, attempt to murder and other grievous offences.According to police, total 105 men were arrested from Nagar Kotwali, Kotwali Dehat, Jaithra, Mirhachi and Sakeet police jurisdiction.Last month ahead of CM visit to the district, 105 men were arrested by Etah police.
