“Twenty-one sugar mills were sold during the BSP government’s tenure and a case is pending in the apex court. Agra: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that the Narendra Modi government has zero tolerance towards terrorism and lambasted those questioning the recent Balakot strikes by the Indian Air Force (IAF).Yogi blamed the Congress for "giving birth to terrorism in India" and accused it of going soft on terrorists. “We have resolved to take back the mills sold by them and will take strict action against those who indulged in their sales,” the CM said and added that these mills will be operationalized soon. “They have joined hands against chowkidar Modi, who’s out to expose their corrupt deeds,” he added.Praising Mathura nominee Hema Malini, Yogi said the actor-turned-politician had visited her constituency over 250 times during the last five years while “Sonia and Rahul Gandhi ignored their constituencies of Rai Bareli and Amethi”. ““While Akhilesh prefers statues of Duryodhan more than Lord Krishna, his “bua” (Mayawati) is only interested in installing her own statues,” he said.Reacting to Mayawati’s attack on the state government over rising cane arrears to farmers and lack of action against the erring sugar mill owners, Yogi said Mayawati has no right to speak on the issue.

“While Modi has given bullets to terrorists, they (Congress) fed them biryani,” the CM while addressing a public rally in Mathura.Yogi, who was addressing a public rally after party candidate Hema Malini filed her nomination, said, “By following a zero tolerance policy on terrorism, Modi had shown the world his government’s resolve to deal with the issue with an iron fist.”Reiterating his party’s poll punchline, the CM said what was “impossible” under the UPA regime has now been made “possible” by PM Modi.Blaming the Samajwadi Party for the 2016 Jawahar Bagh violence, which had claimed 29 lives, including that of then Mathura SP (city) Mukul Dwivedi, Yogi said the Akhilesh Yadav government had “provided criminals and encroachers free power connections and facilities, at the cost of making residents insecure”.Yogi also said that Akhilesh Yadav had a mentality like “Duryodhana” and hence wanted to once install a statue of Duryodhana in Saifai. “Twenty-one sugar mills were sold during the BSP government’s tenure and a case is pending in the apex court. Many people, including workers, were left jobless due to the closure of these mills and their curse led to a tally of zero for BSP in 2014 elections,” Yogi said, adding that this time the SP-BSP alliance will again get a zero.Yogi said that his government had cleared pending dues of sugarcane worth Rs 57,800 crore for 2011-2018 in the last two years. “We have resolved to take back the mills sold by them and will take strict action against those who indulged in their sales,” the CM said and added that these mills will be operationalized soon. He added that his government will not allow the opposition to ruin the farmers.Referring to the murder of two Jat youths that had led to the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots, Yogi attacked the RLD for its silence on the issue and asked why they were not questioning the SP under whose regime the incident occurred.Yogi said the SP-BSP-RLD alliance is “unholy”, as they do not have the same programmes and policies.
