In Agra univ, 20 teachers to check 3 lakh answer sheets

AGRA: Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar has appointed only 20 teachers to complete evaluation of 3 lakh answersheets. To put a tab on delay in declaration of results, like the previous years, the university administration started evaluation in middle of the exam process. University officials said the second lot of answersheets will be made available for evaluation within this week. Now teachers at the evaluation centers are waiting for a second lot, which has not been supplied. We will rope in additional teachers to complete the work in time.”Meanwhile, out of around 2 lakh answer sheets of B.Com students, the first lot of 88,000 copes has been checked by 60 evaluators so far.

AGRA: Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar has appointed only 20 teachers to complete evaluation of 3 lakh answersheets. The university, which started checking science stream answersheets on Wednesday, aims to complete it by the first week of April, which gives teachers around up to 10 days to complete the task. This means a teacher has to check a total 15,000 answersheets, or 15,00 answersheets a day, when according to norms, he or she can check only up to 150 answersheets a day. The staff crunch may delay the result declaration.The university main exams started on March 1. To put a tab on delay in declaration of results, like the previous years, the university administration started evaluation in middle of the exam process. However, due to the lack of proper management, the evaluation work is taking place at a slow pace.University public relations officer GS Sharma said, “The evaluation process of answer sheets related to science subjects has been initiated. The issue of insufficient number of teachers to evaluate a large number of copies will be addressed soon.
