Agra: At least three people died and four were injured after an auto-rickshaw collided with a tractor coming from the opposite direction late on Monday evening on Kadarganj road under the jurisdiction of Sikandarpur Vaish police station of Kasganj district. Those dead have been identified as Ameer Chand (46) , Shaktimaan (20) and Shazeb (6), all of them residents of Budaun district. Accordig to police, Ameer and Shaktimaan died on the spot , while Shazed succumbed to injuries during treatment at district hospital on Tuesday. The minor boy was travelling with his father when the incident occured. According to a passenger of the auto rickshaw who sustained minor injuries, the speeding tractor coming from the opposite direction on a single-lane road had no headlight. It rammed straight into the auto-rickshaw which had six people in it. The tractor-driver fled with the vehicle after the accident. SHO Sikandarpur Vaish police station Rajiv Yadav said, On the basis of the complaint received, an FIR will be registered. He added, We are examining the CCTV cameras in the area. Efforts are being made to arrest the tractor driver who fled along with the vehicle after the accident. Two individuals involved in the incident were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Southbound lanes were closed, causing traffic to back up for miles, but one lane has since been reopened. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
