Boy, 10, dead, another 11-year-old injured during Ganpati Visarjan

AGRA: A 10-year-old boy died and another 11-year-old boy was severely injured after a pillar fell on them during Ganesh Visarjan Yatra in Farrukhabad district on Monday. While a group of youths were attempting to break an earthen pot filled with curd hung at a significant height, some of them caught hold of the rope. The pillar from which the rope was tied could not bear the weight and fell on the duo. The victims were rushed to the hospital where Anurag Rajput was declared dead and Sushant Kumar is undergoing treatment. DSP Ravindra Nath Rai, Probe in on. Action will be taken accordingly.
