AGRA: A private hospital in Uttar Pradeshs Mainpuri district, whose staff allegedly dumped the body of a 17-year-old girl on a bike parked outside the facility, has been sealed by the district health department. A video shows the seemingly lifeless body of the girl on the seat of a motorcycle, with her back arched. Moments later, a woman accompanying her can be seen crying, realising that the girl, now sprawled along both seats of the bike, is dead. No hospital staff can be seen around. "Tumne bahar nikal ke dal diya patient (You threw the patient out)", a man is heard saying, accusing the staff of removing the girl from the hospital even before a vehicle was arranged for her. The victim, identified as Bharti, a class 12 student from a village under the jurisdiction of Ghiror police station, was admitted to Radha Swami Hospital located on Karhal Road in Ghiror, due to high fever on Tuesday. Her aunt said that she was "absolutely fine" on Wednesday but her condition allegedly worsened after a doctor administered an injection, and the hospital staff advised her family to take her elsewhere, claiming they couldnt do anything. According to her aunt, Bharti was already dead when this suggestion was made. UP deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak, who has charge of the states health department, ordered action to be taken against the hospital on Thursday. Mainpuri district chief medical officer (CMO) RC Gupta said, "A team was sent to the hospital, but they discovered that there were no medical or administrative staff on duty." "Bhartis family filed a complaint alleging that she died due to wrong treatment. Instead of making arrangements to shift her to another hospital, the staff brought the patient out and then fled from there. The girl died shortly after she was brought outside," he said. The nodal officer posted on X (formerly Twitter), "Radha Swami Hospital, in front of SSD College, Karhal Road, Mainpuri has been sealed." Other patients at the hospital were transferred to a community health centre in Ghiror.
