AGRA: Following the PDS scam in villages like Barauli Gujar and Nibohra where government authorized dealers were siphoning off tonnes of subsidized rations using non-existent families whose names were drawn from popular Bollywood songs or deceased men, dealers in over dozen villages of Barauli Ahir block in Agra have been allegedly siphoning government rations using fake identities of backward and schedule caste beneficiaries.Documents obtained by TOI revealed that the PDS dealers have created nearly 200 such fake identities under backward and SC/ST categories. PDS dealers of villages like Bahenta, Digner, Kuankheda, Kaulakha , Kakrari, Shyamo, Lakavali, Mehra Naharganj . Kuthawali , Mahua Khera, Nainana Jat, Nainana Brahman, Pachgai Kheda, Rajrai , Semri, Kundol and others were allegedly milking subsidized rations on fake identities.According to copies of government ration cards, in Kuankheda village Girja Devi daughter of Firozabad and Nareni Ka Nagar is the beneficiary of subsidised food grains, similarly Amarud (Guava) from Kaulakha village whose annual income is Rs 36000 hails from backward caste and is also beneficiary for ration.Similarly, ratio card holder 214640446920, DFGDRTG of Rajrai village hails from schedule caste, HKJJ card holder 214640261419 of Kundol village hailed from backward category. Like them HGKJ (214640302113) of Mehra Naharganj village belong to schedule caste, DFK (214640431133) of NainanaBrahman hailed from backward category.According to Gopal Singh and Mohan Mahesh Sharma of Barauli Gujar village, who earlier exposed the PDS scam in their village, where the dealer was siphoning off rations on the name 39 deceased persons, said, "The scam has its tentacles in entire Barauli Ahir block and without supply inspector and other officials such mega scale fraud cannot be executed by dealers themselves."Speaking to TOI, civil supply additional district magistrate Narendar Singh said, "After TOI's report on earlier PDS scams such as of Bollywood songs ration cards, more such cases have come up into light. But we have also found that due to clerical mistake by computer operator to complete their target, forge ration cards were issued, but now we are removing/deleting such cards from our system." Sub divisional magistrate, IAS Sunil Verma of Sadar tehsil said, "I have ordered an thorough enquiry into the matter and have asked the concern officers to submit the report as soon as possible."
