Pari-war hits Firozabad zila panchayat

Two relatives of Mulayam Singh, considered close to Shivpal Yadav, voted for a no-confidence motion against Firozabad zila panchayat chairman considered close to Ram Gopal Yadav.According to party sources, Zila panchayat members Ram Siya Devi (mother of Badayun MP Dharmendra Yadav's brother-in-law, Rajiv Yadav) and Anujesh Yadav (brother-in-law of Dharmendra Yadav) voted for the no-confidence motion against Vijay Pratap Singh Yadav, son of Hari Om Yadav, whose niece is the mother of Mulayam's grandson and MP from Mainpuri, Tej Pratap Singh Yadav.When contacted SP MLA from Firozabad, Hariom Yadav, Vijay Pratap's father, blamed Dharmendra Yadav for the coup against his son. He said, two of his close relatives voted against his son. He said the 'pari-war' has not ended, as was evident from Shivpal's decision to support NDA 's presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind against the party line.He said that all SP members who are supporting the no trust move against his son are turncoats and they can go with any party for petty benefits. "Most of them are contractors and they want to remain in good books of the ruling party to protect their interests," said Hariom Yadav.Former minister, Jaiveer Singh from BJP, said that 24 out of 33 members voted in favour of non- confidence motion against Vijay. However subsequently the motion was withdrawn as many members submitted an affidavit disassociating themselves from the decision.Sources said that the move in Mainpuri was in retaliation of a no confidence motion signed by Sandhya Yadav's husband, Anujesh Yadav against chairman of Ferozabad district panchayat.In the Panchyat poll in January 2016, the then ruling SP had won 65 out of 75 seats of chairman of district panchayats. Ever since the BJP came to power in UP on March 19, as many as 10 chairman of district panchayats have been removed. They were removed either by passage of no confidence motion or they resigned.
