SP MLA, son summoned in attempt to murder case

AGRA/FIROZABAD: A local court has summoned SP MLA from Sirsaganj Hariom Yadav and his son Vijay Pratap , former zila panchayat chairman, in a case of attempt to murder during the zila panchayat elections two years ago.The court has fixed September 28 as the next date of hearing.A case was registered at the Shikohabad police station in 2015 by Rajiv Yadav, a resident of Bhadari village, alleging that his father Vasudev and uncle Ramesh Chandra were attacked by the MLA, his son and others.An FIR was registered under sections 147 (rioting), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Yadav, his son and five others.However, after their investigation, police removed four names, including of the names of father-son duo, from the FIR and filed a charge-sheet against just one person identified as Vijaypal.During the hearing, the petitioner urged the judge to summon others as well whose names had been removed.
