INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY: Nothing could fail them in Yoga test

"Our PM Narendra Modi made efforts to make Indian culture acceptable across the globe and he could do this by the celebration of International Yoga day. Yoga is part of ancient Indian tradition and you have successfully done it. The government also said that 1.25 crore people across Gujarat took part in various Yoga events held across the state. Yoga is our tradition and culture and the whole world gave acceptance to same and that proves that Indian culture is the best and greatest in the world," Union Minister Chaudhary said. Prior to that CM also attended the Yoga Day event held at Sardar Patel stadium in Ahmedabad in presence of Governor OP Kohli and Union Minister of State for Law PP Chaudhary.

In what could be a world record as claimed by the state government as many as 750 physically challenged (divyang) people attended the International Yoga Day celebration in Ahmedabad on Thursday. The government also said that 1.25 crore people across Gujarat took part in various Yoga events held across the state. Plus, with eagerness brimming the attendees also took the session for a tech ride. The young and the old bent to their left, and twisted to their right, without an iota of reluctance on their face at GMDC convention hall, where Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and his wife, Anjali, were also present. Donning Bluetooth headphones, they happily followed the instructions of the trainer. A team of the Guinness Book of World Records was also was present at the event. The CM, who interacted with the participants, said: "I'm overwhelmed to see you all participate. Yoga is part of ancient Indian tradition and you have successfully done it. People from every section of society have accepted PM Narendra Modi's mantra for Yoga as practiced in their daily routine and you are no exception and I am proud of you." Prior to that CM also attended the Yoga Day event held at Sardar Patel stadium in Ahmedabad in presence of Governor OP Kohli and Union Minister of State for Law PP Chaudhary. "Yoga means the convergence of the soul to the almighty God. This helps tranquil the mind and elevate the mental status. When the society is reeling under stressful life, Yoga relieves them from tension and keeps them stress-free. Yoga has its own significance in ancient Indian medicine system and Ayurveda," governor OP Kohli said.
