Gujarat: 2-day Praveshotsav in urban schools

The two-day Kanya Kelavani and Shala Praveshotsav drive for enrolling children in schools in urban areas will commence on Friday. The state government said that the enrolment drive, which was first held in 2002-03, will take place in 1,277 primary schools, and 1,550 secondary schools. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will kick-off the drive by enrolling 350 children in class 9 in RG Girls’ School in Gandhinagar. Officials said that a total of 115 people, including ministers and office bearers of various boa-rds and corporations, IAS officers, IPS officers, IFS officers, and others will take part in the drive. Deputy CM Nitin Patel will take part in a school in Mehsana.
