  • | Friday | 20th July, 2018

In a surprise move, three IAS officers, including former Ahmedabad municipal commissioner Mukesh Kumar, who was among the 21 officers transferred just last week, have been shifted again. The state government had transferred 21 IAS officers, including several additional chief secretaries and principal secretaries, in what was a much-awaited round of transfers on July 12. He replaces Mohammad Shahid, who has now been shifted to agriculture, farmers welfare and cooperation department as secretary (animal husbandry, cow breeding, fisheries & cooperation). Kumar, who was appointed as secretary of primary & secondary education in the education department in the last reshuffle on July 12, has been moved to Gujarat Maritime Board as vice chairman & chief executive officer. The state government had transferred former Vadodara municipal commissioner Vinod Rao to this post in last week's reshuffle, but he has been appointed as secretary of primary & secondary education in Kumar's place in today's mini-rejig.
