Ahmedabad receives 4.82 mm rains, mayor takes a trip across city

The Met department has forecast moderate to heavy rains for the next couple of days. Odhav, with 16mm, recorded the highest rainfall of the day, followed by Gota at 15.50mm. Bopal, Bodakdev, Satellite, received moderate shower, causing traffic jam. After heavy downpour on Friday, the city received scattered rains on Saturday. East zone, which received 8.17mm rainfall, recorded the highest rainfall during one hour (6pm to 7pm), followed by new West zone which received 7mm, central zone 3.75mm, north and south zone 3.50mm and west zone 3.01mm.

Three two were uprooted – at Navrangpura and Memnagar on Saturday. Mayor Bijal Patel and standing committee chairman Amul Bhatt along with other post holders visited different places of the city. A depression over the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring rains over the next two to three days.
