The Naroda family suicide case has taken a new twist with the police recovering a suicide note believed to be written by Kavita Trivedi, one of the deceased, on Thursday. Three members of the family were found dead in their apartment in Naroda on Tuesday night. The investigators believe that the husband and wife had first killed their daughter by hanging her and then they both committed suicide. The deceased were identified as Kunal Trivedi (45), Kavita Trivedi (45) and Shren Trivedi (16). They were residents of Avani Sky flats near Surdharsan crossroads in Naroda. The second suicide written by Kavita said: "During Kunal's college days, he was dating a girl and they both wanted to marry each other. But after Kunal's parents refused, he broke up with the girl. The girl got depressed and committed suicide. Later, when Kunal got married, the girl's spirit started haunting him and he went into depression. The girl was calling Kunal to join her and later she also started haunting me and our daughter. After being constantly haunted by her spirit, my daughter and I decided to commit suicide." This was the second suicide note that the police found in the case. The first one was found on Wednesday and it was written by Kunal. "The society has been calling me an alcoholic, but I am not. It is some black magic which is refusing to leave my side and dragging me into darkness," the note read. Initially, the police had thought that Kunal had killed his wife and daughter, before hanging himself. But further investigation revealed that Kunal and Kavita had planned the suicide since September 8. They had sold their property, and sent money and valuables to a relative. They had told the relative that they were going to shift houses and hence it was not safe to keep the valuables in their house anymore. The police also revealed that all three died from hanging, and they suspect that the couple first killed their daughter, then Kavita hanged herself and at the last Kunal committed suicide. All three used the same dupatta to commit suicide. "We have taken the statements of the relatives, during which we have come to know that Kunal had some physiological issues and a bad temper," said Nirajkumar Badgujar, DCP (Zone-4). "Right now, we are waiting for the FSL reports, which will tell us what actually happened. There are several theories which we are following, but it will only get clear once we get the reports. We have lodged a case of accidental death in the matter right now and further investigation will reveal more about the case." THE END NOTE During Kunal’s college days, he was dating a girl and they both wanted to marry each other. But after Kunal’s parents refused, he broke up with the girl. She got depressed and committed suicide. Later, when Kunal got married, the girl’s spirit started haunting him and he went into depression.
