Two days monsoon session of the Gujarat assembly is going to begin Tuesday, and this short session is believed to remain stormy with a confrontation between both the parties. The Congress has proposed no-confidence motion against CM Vijay Rupani-led government on agrarian crisis in state and the opposition has also made preparation for gheraoing of the assembly along with farmers in Gandhinagar. The deputy leader of opposition in the assembly, Shailesh Parmar, had proposed for a no-confidence motion and it is likely that the government may try to withdraw, however, the decision may be taken on the eleventh hour before the second and last day of the session that is on Wednesday. This motion can heat up the atmosphere in the house if the speaker allows debate over the motion. The Congress, on another side, is not in the mood to give up the chance of tightening noose around the neck of the ruling party. The CM called a meeting of the MLAs of the ruling party, on Monday evening, to educate them on the business of the house and party's strategies during session. After the meeting, the deputy CM Nitin Patel held Congress ' motion as a publicity stunt. "This motion is not maintainable at all and it cannot be proceeded in-house as per the rule. Congress know it very vell and moved it for publicity stunt only. They had done it against the central government too but failed. They are trying to misguide public by doing so," Patel said. "Our government has taken sufficient measures for all citizens including farmers in the state. Farmers got the support price for the sell of groundnuts, lentils and other produces and other actions also have been ensured. We have also been saying that no irregularity will be there in land resurvey procedure and no farmer will face injustice. Congress had no issue to make their presence felt among public so they are doing this gimmick," Patel added. Speaker Rajendra Trivedi said, "It is not in my power to take decision on inclusion of proceeding on a no-confidence motion in the business of house. I have to administer the formalities as per the rule. " The first seating of session will begin on Tuesday but the full day reference will be observed after paying homage to deceased leaders and politicians including former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The government will table six different bills in house on the second day.
