He will also come for the inauguration of Sardar Patel's 182-meter high Statue of Unity near Narmada dam on October 31. The prime minister's back to back engagements in the home state indicates his concerns for the political performance of his party BJP in Gujarat. The prime minister is likely to visit almost all the major districts for programmes related to different public projects. The PM will inaugurate the chocolate plant of Amul at Mogar village near Anand town. The chairman of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, Ramsinh Parmar said, "We had sought the dates of September 1 or 2 for the inauguration of chocolate plants at the hands of PM, but those were not confirmed by the PMO. We have got the confirmation today on his visit and that will be a one day visit on September 30." "He is going to launch a ready to use therapeutic food prepared by Amul here. The same will be a part of Balbhog programme of nutritious food distribution among rural children in Gujarat. We have prepared this special food on the suggestion of PM Narendra Modi himself. From here, he will attend different functions in Kutch and Rajkot districts too," Parmar who is also a BJP leader said.
