Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation clamps down on snack shops

The health department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) collected samples of fafda ingredients from snack making joints in the city on Wednesday. The samples taken on Wednesday have been sent for laboratory testing and the results of the same will be declared after two weeks. "There is an assumption among people that on Dushera, the shops sells stale fafda and jalebi. The team had collected samples from 18 different shops chosen randomly. Estimates state, Amdavadis consumes fafda worth crores of rupees and the eateries make them in advance to meet the high demand.
