Gay man held for messaging sex pictures to prof

AHMEDABAD: City cyber cell on Monday arrested Mahesh Chudasama, 46, a resident of Vejalpur for sending gay sex photos and lewd messages from a fake social media profile to a 50-year-old professor. We suspect that Chudasama was enraged by the fact that the professor had unfollowed him on the social media platform,” he said. Cyber cell officials said Chudasama, the father of a teenage boy and a divorcee is currently unemployed. “He has confessed that he used to keep gay relationships earlier, but he has left it now,” said a senior cyber cell official.DCP, cyber cell, Rajdeepsinh Jhala, said the professor and Chudasama had met on a social media platform about four months ago.“The professor blocked him when Chudasama started sending him messages related to gay sex. We picked him up and during interrogation he confessed that he had sent those messages to the professor as he had disconnected with him on the social media platform,” added inspector Barad.Inspector Barad said Chudasama is unemployed at present.

Chudasama felt affronted and to get even he created a fake social media profile a month ago and began sending gay photographs and lewd messages to the professor’s social media account,” said inspector V B Barad.Barad said that the professor, who serves in a college in an adjoining district, approached the cyber cell with a complaint.“Assistant sub-inspector Chetan Rathwa obtained the IP address of the cellphone from which the fake social media profile had been created. It belonged to Chudasama. We picked him up and during interrogation he confessed that he had sent those messages to the professor as he had disconnected with him on the social media platform,” added inspector Barad.Inspector Barad said Chudasama is unemployed at present. “He survives on the pension of his father who was a railway employee. We suspect that Chudasama was enraged by the fact that the professor had unfollowed him on the social media platform,” he said.
