Anil Patel, resident of Nava Vadaj area of Ahmedabad city had written to the commissioner of transport of Gujarat in August, enquiring about the legality of installation of luggage carriers on private vehicles. Patel said, "It becomes difficult to hoard all the luggage in the cabin of the car at times. There is a common perception that installing a carrier on a private vehicle is illegal. But it is revealed through this correspondence and reply from the transport commissioner's office." "This will ease the problem of many as the myth prevailed in people will be gone now. I have been trying to send the copies of this letter to as many people possible through social media and various other means," Patel added.
