To promote digital transactions, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation organises camps in malls

As a part of the 100-day challenge of digital payments for the smart city project, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation is visiting malls and organising events and camps to promote online tax payment. For the past two weeks, the tax department has been organising several IEC activities in different commercial units, especially the malls. We have been accepting online payments for long, via various mediums like web portals and mobile apps. "For online payment, there is 2 per cent discount and the total discount is capped to thousand rupees," remarked the official. The team will visit them along with their own gazettes and ask them to pay their tax online.
