Cop booked for cheating a man of his dumper

AHMEDABAD: Pradeepsinh Udubha, a policeman deployed with police head quarters in Shahibaug was booked by Naroda police on Saturday for cheating a man of his dumper. “Mansuri has alleged that Udubha told him then that he will not get his dumper back and he can do whatever he wants. We are probing the details of the FIR,” said a senior police official. According to Mansuri, after paying two instalments and giving Rs 19,000 to him, Udubha stopped paying the instalments and did not pay him the monthly rent as promised in the agreement” added a police source.Police officials said that after several calls made to Udubha went unanswered, Mansuri went to Udubha’s house and found that he had already given the dumper to somebody else. Naroda police registered an FIR based on a complaint lodged by one Yusuf Mansuri who has alleged that the cop had taken his dumper, promising him to pay the loan instalments and give him Rs 5,000 per month on top of that.Police sources said, according to FIR, Udubha paid two instalments and gave a total of Rs 19,000 to Mansuri 50, resident of Saijpur Bogha in Naroda and gave the dumper to some other person without even informing Mansuri.“We are verifying the details of the FIR and very soon will summon Udubha for questioning,” said a senior police official of Naroda police station.According to the FIR lodged by Mansuri, he was compelled to give the dumper which he had bought at a price of Rs 5.50 lakh from a finance company at a monthly instalment of Rs 20,780 to Udubha at a friend’s instance due to his tight financial condition.“As alleged in the FIR, Mansuri and Udubha had entered into an agreement that Udubha will use the dumper and pay the instalments and give Rs 5,000 per month to Mansuri in return.
