At 8.1 degree Celsius, Ahmedabad records lowest temperature in February since 2015

This was followed by Gandhinagar (6.4 degree Celsius), Deesa (6.6 degree Celsius), Kandla – airport (7.8 degree Celsius), Surendranagar (8.5 degree Celsius), Valsad (9.1 degree Celsius), Vadodara (9.4 degree Celsius), Mahuva (10 degree Celsius), Vallabh Vidyanagar (10 degree Celsius), Bhuj (10.2 degree Celsius), Porbandar (10.2 degree Celsius).
According to the daily report of the weather department, the minimum temperature in the city on Saturday was 8.1 degree Celsius, which is 5.1 degree Celsius lower than the normal.
The lowest temperature recorded on Saturday in the state was 5.8 degree Celsius in Nalia in Kutch district.
It was on February 7, 2015 that the city had recorded 7.8 degree Celsius.
"Cold wave and cold day conditions prevailed in parts of Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch," said a press statement from India Meteorological Department (IMD).
