A complaint was lodged with the Mahila police station on Thursday by a 33-year-old woman who alleged that two men had barged into her house and molested her. When her family tried to stop them, the miscreants attacked them and fled the spot. According to the police, the incident took place on the night of February 12 between 9pm and 10pm, in an apartment located in the Maninagar area. As per the complaint, for the past couple of months, the victim had been getting calls from one of the accused, identified as Raj Patel, who claimed to be a businessman. Despite being denied by the victim several times, the accused continued calling her and at one point, even started abusing her. After being mentally harassed by the calls, the victim started ignoring them. But that didn't stop the accused. He somehow managed to reach her workplace and insulted her in front of her colleagues. On the night of December 12, at around 9pm, when the victim and her family members were inside their house, the accused barged in with his friend and started molesting the victim. When the victim's family members tried to stop him, he started beating them up and threatened to kill them all. Hearing the screams of the family members, neighbours began to gather at the spot. In fear of getting caught, the two accused fled the spot in their vehicle. Later, a complaint was lodged with the Mahila police station against the two accused. As per senior Mahila police officials, they have taken the complaint in the matter and have started an investigation to nab the accused. Currently, the cops are trying to recover CCTV footage from outside the victim's house so as to identify the vehicle which was used by the accused and to track both of them down.
