A complaint was lodged with the Vastrapur police station on Monday after an unidentified man tried to film a minor with his mobile phone in the washroom of a Crossword book store. According to the police, the incident took place on Sunday afternoon inside the washroom of a Crossword book store in the Mondeal Retail Park complex located on SG highway. The complaint was lodged with the police station by the victim's father. As per the complaint, on Sunday afternoon, the 8-year-old girl had gone to the Crossword store with her family to do some reading. During the time, the girl went to use the washroom of the book store. The girl spotted a hand slipping beneath door and someone was trying to push a mobilephone As soon as she noticed it, she started to scream for help and started shouting at the person behind the door. The accused fled from the washroom. Meanwhile, people rushed to the spot after they heard the screams of the minor. She narrated the entire matter to her parents and later, a complaint was lodged with the Vastrapur police station against the accused. Inspector MM Jadeja of Vastrapur police station said, "Regarding the matter, we have started an investigation by recovering the footage from the CCTV at the spot to identify the accused responsible for the crime. We have lodged a complaint under IPC Section 354 against the accused and further investigation is on. The accused has not been arrested yet, but we will get him soon." ACCUSED ON RUN
