AMC serves notices to eight buildings over fire hazard

The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is conducting an inspection of different high rise buildings in the city to check the fire safety equipment and on Friday has served notice to eight more buildings.
Mondeal Heights were served notice due to non-functioning sprinklers which were later on okayed by the department.
During the inspection, the team is noticing many faults in the pre-installed fire system.
Ramada Hotel located near to Prahladnagar garden has the system but there was no proper ventilation in the staircase, which was brought to the notice by the department.
The inspection has taken after the fire incident at the Dev Aurum building.
