36K engineering seats left vacant in Gujarat

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) on Wednesday declared the first round of admissions for degree engineering courses with a total of 32,341 students making it to the merit list out of which 30,948 students filled their choices. Based on their choices, 28,779 students were allotted admission, whereas 36,342 seats are left vacant. A total of 36,342 students had made through the provisional list last week, of which 33,164 made it to the merit list. Of the 33,164 students, majority are from Gujarat board. While 28,411 are from Gujarat board, 3,519 are CBSE students, 231 are ICSE students and three are from NIOS.
