Gujarat High Court notice to IITRAM over MTech admission violations

The Gujarat High Court has sought a reply from the Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research, and Management (IITRAM) and the state government, after a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) questioning the validity of the institute's 2019-20 MTech admission process. The petitioner, Sandeep Munjyasara, approached the court claiming that the institute, being a government entity, was supposed to approach the state's Admission Committee for Professional Courses before initiating the MTech admission process. Munjyasara has appealed to the court to stay the admission process so that the career of students who have applied for admission in the institute is not affected. This apart, he has requested the court to nullify the entire admission process. He claimed that the centralised admission process for MTech admissions is usually initiated by the committee by June-end or early July.
