This Vatva man has a 'nose' for money

A man bit off a part of his wife’s nose, following a squabble over financial issues. A resident of Rajpath Bungalows in Vatva area, Kailash Fulwani bit off his wife Reshamben’s nose in a fit of rage, when she accused him of stealing Rs 3,000 from her purse. A case of domestic violence was lodged with Vatva police station by her against Kailash. When she asked him to stop abusing, Kailash started thrashed her, grabbed her hair, pushed her on the floor and bit her nose off. Primary investigation revealed that the accused had taken the money from his wife’s purse and denied taking it.

A resident of Rajpath Bungalows in Vatva area, Kailash Fulwani bit off his wife Reshamben’s nose in a fit of rage, when she accused him of stealing Rs 3,000 from her purse. After the incident, the 40-year-old woman was rushed to LG hospital and admitted to ICU for treatment. A case of domestic violence was lodged with Vatva police station by her against Kailash. In her complaint, she said that her husband is unemployed, and she worked as a salesgirl to support her family of five. On Tuesday morning, at around 9 am, after her children left for college Reshamben realised that Rs 3000 missing from her purse. When she asked her husband about it, he denied taking the money. When Reshamben inquired again, Kailash lost his cool and started abusing her. A fight broke out between them. When she asked him to stop abusing, Kailash started thrashed her, grabbed her hair, pushed her on the floor and bit her nose off. Reshamben’s screams alerted the neighbours who rushed to the spot and took her to the hospital. The victim sustained 15 stitches on her nose. HV Sisara, Inspector of Vatva police station said, “We have arrested the accused. Primary investigation revealed that the accused had taken the money from his wife’s purse and denied taking it. This triggered a row and the victim’s nose was bitten off.” ROW OVER RS 3K
