Eight corona-infected people died in a sudden fire in the ICU ward of Shreya Hospital in Navarangpura, Ahmedabad, on Wednesday midnight. Based on the report of FSL, Fire Brigade and Electric Department, Navrangpura Police arrested Bharat Mahant, the chief trustee of the hospital, on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier, his corona test was done, which was negative. The police presented the judge`s residence and sought a five-day remand, but due to the weak arguments in his favor and the weak report of the fire brigade, the judge released him on bail of Rs 15,000. Eight corona-infected people lost their lives in this accident. The state government has already announced an inquiry from a retired High Court judge for a judicial inquiry into the incident, but the lopsided functioning of the police and metropolitan health department has been exposed as the chief accused is released on bail.

Earlier, Minister of State for Home Pradeep Singh Jadeja had said that Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has decided for a judicial inquiry into Shrey Hospital Dukhantika. A retired judge of the High Court will get it investigated. Chief Minister Rupani himself said that no one guilty of this incident will be spared. The culprits will be punished severely. After this, the Navarangpura police registered a case under Section 304-A, 336, 337, 338 and 339 of Indian Penal Code against the credit hospital trusty Bharat Mahant and hospital management based on the forensic report, fire brigade and electric department report. He was questioned for several hours. A police FIR was registered on Monday, August 5, Wednesday, midnight.
