Deepa Kinariwala says that BJ Medical College has been assigned by ICMR for quality control testing. Corona is being tested using RT-PCR method in about 40 laboratories in Gujarat at present. Samples from these laboratories are sent to the laboratory of BJ Medical College every month for cross checking. A data entry portal has been launched by ICMR for this. The entry of this sample is done in the portal. The results of both the laboratories are entered in the portal and both the results are assessed by ICMR and the final result is declared. In addition, BJ Medical College also serves as a validation center for rapid antigen testing kits.
