NOIDA: After running a beta test in the city, Uber today formally launched UberMOTO , a bike-sharing service targeted at providing last leg connectivity in Noida and Ghaziabad . The service will from today onwards be widely available in the two cities. A ride will cost Rs 10 . The bike-share service has already been active in Faridabad and Gurgaon. The service is available via the Uber app Talking to TOI, Prabhjeet Singh, General Manager, Delhi NCR & North India, Uber, said, "UberMOTO gives riders an affordable and convenient motorcycle ride at the push of a button, through the Uber app. Riders receive driver and bike details just as they do for other Uber rides, as well as all standard safety features before, during and after the ride including GPS tracking, two-way feedback and the ability to share trip details with family and friends,"As per Singh, while the service is expected to provide great mobility for people who need to rush through the traffic while being pressed for time, it would also provide a good opportunity for such bikers who can make a little extra cash while providing this service."We wanted to create a solution to bridge the gap between mass-transits like the metro and to the destination of people. And this is going to provide an affordable," Singh added.UberMOTO is available in seven cities - Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.
