However several anti- Congress messages were sent from Badrish's phone criticising Congress leader Ahmed Patel and Bharatsinh Solanki for the Gujarat Congress mess. If this happens in Rajya Sabha polls, it would mean defeat for Ahmed Patel, the political advisor to Sonia Gandhi. When asked to comment on the defamatory message against Ahmed Patel, Badrish cut the phone. We are privileged to have had the honour of Congress MLAs voting for BJP candidate," he said. Shankersinh Vaghela is leading the rebellion.

National BJP President Amit Shah has proved it once again. That he is the Shah of all political strategies. Shah is in direct talks with at least three senior Congress leaders and eight Congress MLAs in Gujarat and with less than six months to go for the Assembly election, the BJP is inching itself more closely towards breaking the Congress. It was Amit Shah 's strategy and he succeeded in getting maximum cross voting in presidential election from Gujarat.Gujarat topped the country with highest cross voting. BJP presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind got 11 more votes than what he was supposed to. While Congress admits that eight of their MLAs have indulged in cross voting, chief minister and senior BJP leader Vijay Rupani said, "Eleven Congress MLAs voted for our candidate. We are privileged to have had the honour of Congress MLAs voting for BJP candidate," he said. Shankersinh Vaghela is leading the rebellion. He is the Leader of the Opposition in the Gujarat Assembly.Top sources close to BJP confirmed that CBI and ED cases against Vaghela are coming in handy for the BJP which wants to bag 150 of the 182 seats in the coming polls. Vaghela has money laundering, corruption and disproportionate cases against him. The BJP has smartly used this to get Vaghela to their side, a leader claimed. According to this leader, Amit Shah has a script ready. Part A was asking Shankersinh to demand Bharat Solanki's removal as the PCC chief. Part B is to get him to sever all ties officially with the Congress without joining BJP, use him to create a rebellion to ensure Ahmed Patel is defeated in the forthcoming Rajya Sabha election.Patel's defeat would be a big blow to the Congress and can further boost the BJP. Part C is to malign Ahmed Patel. Part D, which will be rolled out in next few months, would be Vaghela denting into Congress votes by tying up with some outfit or at least two dozen Congress MLAs joining BJP. However, sources said Vaghela had reportedly promised 18 cross votes to Ramnath Kovind but he could not manage only 8 to 11 votes. While this is definitely a blow to the Congress, it also came as a shock to Vaghela that MLAs who had promised to vote in favour of the BJP did not.Amit Shah's strategy was to have 18 MLAs cross vote in presidential and Rajya Sabha election. If this happens in Rajya Sabha polls, it would mean defeat for Ahmed Patel, the political advisor to Sonia Gandhi. A BJP leader in touch with Shankersinh Vaghela told Mirror, "The entire game plan is to finish the Congress in Gujarat and we are gradually doing it". On Thursday, Vaghela refused to entertain queries from Mirror. However several anti- Congress messages were sent from Badrish's phone criticising Congress leader Ahmed Patel and Bharatsinh Solanki for the Gujarat Congress mess. Badrish is the personal assistant to MLA Mahendrasinh Vaghela, Shankersinh's son. Decoding the messages, a BJP MLA told Mirror, "Our brief to Bapu (Shankersinh) was clear. We wanted him to create pressure to remove Bharatsinh Solanki as the Congress president in Gujarat. Solanki enjoys a good positioning amongst Thakors, Kolis and OBCs in the State. Shankersinh Vaghela's script was to demand a change in State leadership. According to a senior BJP MLA, "Amitbhai understands that Solanki is tough to counter as a leader. With the ongoing agitation by Alpesh Thakor, the growing dissatisfaction amongst OBCs, removing Solanki could further dent the Congress. This was the original game plan. Somehow, Congress did not give in to Shankersinh. So plan B of cross voting was implemented."The Congress has not been in power since 1995 in Gujarat. The high command culture of Congress along with total grassroot disconnect of state Congress leaders is largely responsible for the party's inability to win Gujarat. BJP President Amit Shah and party general secretary in charge of the State Bhupendra Yadav are directly negotiating with Congress leaders and crafting a rebellion under the leadership of Vaghela that will be rolled out today. Congress has lowered itself to being just a reactive party and the organisation is in shambles in Gujarat where Amit Shah is now working overtime to secure the best ever victory for the BJP.Messages targeting Ahmed Patel go viralAfter Bapu, his son Mahendrasinh's personal assistant Badrish has circulated a message personally targeting senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel. Badrish made allegations against Ahmed Patel in Mehsana Congress IT cell group. The message alleged Patel's personal ambitions were clouding the golden opportunity Congress had in forthcoming election. When asked to comment on the defamatory message against Ahmed Patel, Badrish cut the phone. When asked about the message from his PA Badrish, Mahendrasinh said, "It was a forwarded message and not initiated by Bardish. We have also found the person who has forwarded it. We have no involvement in spreading it."
