Brahma Temple priest attacked

AJMER: A man attacked the priest of the famous Brahma Temple with a sharp weapon on Monday afternoon. The accused identified himself as Dr Ashok Meghwal of Pali district and attacked the priest on his neck and hand. The incident occurred when the priest was in the sanctum of the temple and was distributing ‘prasad’ to the devotees. However, the President in his official communiqué had stated that due to his wife’s health they did not climb the stairs and go inside. He offered prayers standing on the stairs of the temple.

AJMER: A man attacked the priest of the famous Brahma Temple with a sharp weapon on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred when the priest was in the sanctum of the temple and was distributing ‘prasad’ to the devotees. The accused identified himself as Dr Ashok Meghwal of Pali district and attacked the priest on his neck and hand. He was seen shouting that the temple people were insulting Dalits and repeatedly shouted as to why President Ram Nath Kovind was not allowed inside the temple.The President, on his visit to Pushkar some days back, did not go inside the temple. He offered prayers standing on the stairs of the temple. However, the President in his official communiqué had stated that due to his wife’s health they did not climb the stairs and go inside.
