Man abducted abroad, ransom paid in Rajasthan's Nagaur

AJMER: A Haryana resident who went to Dubai was allegedly abducted there and the captors asked his relatives to pay the ransom money in India. Investigating the matter, Haryana's Karnal police on Tuesday arrested two men, who allegedly took the ransom amount of Rs 20 lakh, from a village near Maulasar town of Nagaur district . Recently, his family back home got a call informing about his abduction.The abductors said that if the family wanted to see the man alive, it should pay Rs 20 lakh in India. Yadav said that as the matter was not related to Rajasthan police, he was unable to give more details.Yadav said the Karnal police told the local cops that an Indian man had been abducted in Dubai or Turkey and the ransom was being demanded in India.One Sundar Lal (32), son of Baru Ram, from Karnal had gone to Dubai some time back to earn livelihood.

Later, the abductors told the family about two men who would contact them.Police sources said the victim’s family paid the ransom to Ayub Khan and Dholaria alias Ramnarayan, both residents of Baori village near Maulasar, Nagaur.The victim’s father Baru Ram had lodged a complaint with the Karnal police, which reached Nagaur on Tuesday morning while investigating the case.After some preliminary interrogation, Khan and Ramnarayan were arrested and taken to Karnal.The incident triggered tension in Baori and the local police are now going through the criminal records to find out if the arrested men have relatives or friends in Dubai.
