Villagers protest, demand construction of service lane

Villagers said that traffic on the national highway moves fast and therefore people are not able to judge the speed and collide.
Ajmer: Large number of villagers jammed the highway after the dumper hit a roadways bus on Sunday afternoon.
Officials rushed on the spot and assured to start the work of service lane from tomorrow.Sarpanch of Tabiji village Rajendra Gena said that accident on this spot is common as vehicles come out from the village and as there is no divider they take the wrong side, “We were demanding a service lane on wrong side so that vehicle can reach till divider on that without disturbing main traffic,” said Gena.On the protest of villagers, district collector Arti Dogra and SP Rajendra Singh reached the village and held a meeting of villagers, “District collector assured that service lane will be constructed from tomorrow so to avoid such incidents,” added Gena.Tabiji village is situated on a crucial place of intersection on national highway and therefore when water collects under bridge, vehicles start moving on wrong side.
