JAIPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mega rally on Saturday is likely to affect vehicular traffic on six major roads that connects different parts of the city with each other. We have deployed total 1,000 traffic policemen for the traffic management,” she said.The police said that the traffic on Janpath, Hawa Sadak, Sehkar Marg, Sardar Patel Marg, Prtivi Raj Marg, Bhavani Singh Road and Pankaj Singhvi Marg, will be diverted through nearby lanes. The traffic may move at snail’s pace especially between 1pm to 4pm.The buses coming from different districts will affect vehicular traffic on Sikar Road, Ajmer Road, Tonk Road, Kalwar Road and Delhi Road as these routes have been assigned to buses carrying people to the city. Each parking space will be monitored by a sub-inspector (SI). The nearby areas to these roads may also witness chock-a-block all through the day.The sources said that Ajmer Road will be particularly affected as buses coming from western and southern Rajasthan may jostle for space.

Sikar Road will also see heavy traffic all through the day as buses in large numbers are expect to ferry people from Shekhawati region to the venue.Deputy commissioner of police (Traffic) Lovely Katiyar said that 1 pm to 4 pm time slot will be very crucial for the city’s traffic movement, and people should plan their visits accordingly.“We have made elaborate traffic arrangements for Saturday, but there will be heavy traffic on many stretches nearby the venue, like Rambagh Circle to Naryan Singh Circle, from Prithvi Raj road to Sehkar Marg and then onto Polo Circle,” she said.The DCP said that Prithvi Raj and Bhavani Singh roads have been declared strictly no parking zones and vehicles parked here will be towed away.“We have earmarked 34 parking spaces for buses, and 11 for light vehicles. Each parking space will be monitored by a sub-inspector (SI). We have deployed total 1,000 traffic policemen for the traffic management,” she said.The police said that the traffic on Janpath, Hawa Sadak, Sehkar Marg, Sardar Patel Marg, Prtivi Raj Marg, Bhavani Singh Road and Pankaj Singhvi Marg, will be diverted through nearby lanes.
