Minnal waterfall begins to flow

The waterfall is on Banas River, which later flows into the Bisalpur Dam. AJMER: Bisalpur Dam has started getting water as the Triveni point, where Banas and Khari Rivers meet, is now flowing with full force. In Ajmer city, rain continued for the third day on Thursday. Minnal waterfall on Banas River in Bhilwara has also started flowing, attracting tourists.After the monsoon getting activated in the division, the Arai block of Ajmer got 74 mm rain in the last 48 hours, while Akola village of Bhilwara received 30 mm rainfall in just three hours. The Amargarh pond of Bhilwara started overflowing and many other lakes and ponds have received good amounts of water after the rain.According to irrigation department, Ajmer district received 140 mm of rain till Thursday, while Pushkar recorded 50 mm of rain in last two days.

Anasagar has continued to receive water and district administration is monitoring the gauge so that the gates of the lake can be opened before it overflows.Similarly in Bhilwara, in the last two days, Mandalgarh, Hamirgarh, among other parts, have received good rain.Hundreds of people gathered at Minnal waterfall on Thursday morning to witness the waterfall in full flow. The waterfall is on Banas River, which later flows into the Bisalpur Dam.
