Three killed, 25 injured in Bundi bus-truck collision

KOTA: Three persons were killed and around 25 other passengers sustained minor injuries after a speeding truck crossing the road divider plunged on to the wrong side and collided head-on against a contractual Rajasthan roadway bus on national highway number 52 near Basni village under Hindoli police station of Bundi.Three of the 25 injured are undergoing medical treatment with critical injuries at Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) hospital in Kota while the other injured were discharged after first aid.“The three deceased were identified as Sube Singh (42), the truck driver and Hanuman Singh , the helper, both residents of Alwar district and Ramswroop Parajapat(65), a shepherd and resident of Basni village,” ASI at Hindoli police station Radheshyam Choudhary said.“The mishap occurred around 10.30 am when the speeding truck, crossing the road divider plunged on to the wrong side and collided head-on against the Rajasthan roadways bus that was going to Ajmer from Kota,” the ASI said.One of the three deceased Ramswroop Parajapat was grazing his cattle and was sitting on the roadside when the mishap occurred and he died on the spot, the ASI said adding the truck driver was killed on the spot and the helper succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.
