Rajasthan assembly elections Turnout in Tonk 747 percent falls by one percent

AJMER: There was at least a fall of one percent in voter turnout in Tonk, in comparison to that in assembly elections of 2013; but Muslim voter turnout increased by 2.11 percent this time. Yoonus Khan also showed confidence in his victory and said that people will repeat the result of last assembly elections. He remained busy in taking feedback from workers and at the end of polling, his team was analysing the results. In the rural region, turnout was slow in the morning, but by noon, people started coming out to vote.BJP candidate and minister in Raje government, Yoonus Khan and his team kept an eye on voters. Interestingly, workers of RSS were not seen in the main market region where they have a hold.

The Congress and the BJP, both looked confident after polling was over, but Congress candidate and state president Sachin Pilot was sure of forming the government on December 11.Since morning, Congress and BJP workers were very enthusiastic and there was a rush in the city area and voters were found queuing up outside the Naushmia Pul, Sabzi Mandi and Ghanta Ghar region. Sachin Pilot himself monitored polling. In the rural region, turnout was slow in the morning, but by noon, people started coming out to vote.BJP candidate and minister in Raje government, Yoonus Khan and his team kept an eye on voters. Interestingly, workers of RSS were not seen in the main market region where they have a hold. Last time in 2013, the polling percentage of Tonk was 75.04 percent, but this time, the tentative polling percentage remained to 74.7 percent.In 2013, BJP got a share of more than 46 percent of votes, while the Congress had got only 15.21 percent of the votes. This time, the vote share is expected to change, as voting was more in rural region in comparison to last polls, while voting in urban areas remained low in comparison to 2013.While talking to media, Pilot said that they are going to form the government and the chief minister will be chosen by the elected legislators. Yoonus Khan also showed confidence in his victory and said that people will repeat the result of last assembly elections. He remained busy in taking feedback from workers and at the end of polling, his team was analysing the results.
