Gujjars threaten rail-road jam at four places from February 8

Meanwhile, the turnout from the Gujjar community was very low than what was claimed by the Sangharsh Samiti. Bainsla clarified that the Gujjars demand five percent reservation and that now, no Gujjar community leader shall go for talks with the state government. These are the four places from where the Gujjars will start their agitation at the same time, on February 8.

AJMER: Giving an ultimatum to the state government, Kirori Singh Bainsla of Gujjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti on Tuesday at Saimala Temple in Bijaynagar, said that if the state government does not take any decision regarding Gujjar reservation till February 7, the community will jam roads and railway tracks in four places, from the next day.Bainsla was addressing the Gujjar Maha Panchayat near Devnarayan Temple in Bijaynagar. He said that railway tracks will also be blocked, if state government fails to act in time. Bainsla clarified that the Gujjars demand five percent reservation and that now, no Gujjar community leader shall go for talks with the state government. He said the Gujjar community will block railway tracks in Dausa, Bijaynagar, Sawai Madhopur and Kota to hamper the rail traffic between Delhi and Mumbai. These are the four places from where the Gujjars will start their agitation at the same time, on February 8. Meanwhile, the turnout from the Gujjar community was very low than what was claimed by the Sangharsh Samiti. At noon, there were hardly a hundred people and later, before Bainsla came to address the gathering, about two thousand people from Bhilwara and Ajmer joined the gathering. The samiti had claimed to have a gathering of about 30 thousand.This was the first time when Vijay Bainsla, son of Kirori Singh Bainsla, also addressed the gathering and said that Congress had promised in its manifesto to give reservation to Gujjar community, but after winning the state assembly elections, the party is not fulfilling its promise. He said that deputy CM Sachin Pilot is from Gujjar community and should therefore come forward to back the community demanding their rights.
