JAIPUR: Four persons, who were awarded capital punishment in a triple murder case in Ajmer in 2011, were acquitted by the division bench of Rajasthan High Court on Thursday.Bench comprising Justice K S Ahluwalia and Justice Banwari Lal Sharma set aside the conviction of the four persons including Diamond Desilva, Rubin, Malaki Jones and Mahesh Lot and acquitted them.All four were awarded capital punishment by special judge SC/ST, Ajmer on October 4, 2014.

JAIPUR: Four persons, who were awarded capital punishment in a triple murder case in Ajmer in 2011, were acquitted by the division bench of Rajasthan High Court on Thursday.Bench comprising Justice K S Ahluwalia and Justice Banwari Lal Sharma set aside the conviction of the four persons including Diamond Desilva, Rubin, Malaki Jones and Mahesh Lot and acquitted them.All four were awarded capital punishment by special judge SC/ST, Ajmer on October 4, 2014. Thereafter, the convicted persons filed an appeal before the Rajasthan High court on November 2018.Vinay Pal Yadav, defence counsel, said, “On November, 22, 2011 George Austin stated that some neighbours informed her that house that belonged to Neeru Maxwell (45) was stinking as foul smell was coming out. The house was locked from inside and police was informed. Thereafter police found a decomposed body who was identified as Neeru. Another body of Pramod Maxwell (20) who was son of Neeru was lying in the room.”“Since Nirmodh Maxwell (23) was missing from the home the police initiated investigations and saw him as prime suspect. However, on November, 28, 2011 Nirmodh was also found murdered,” said Yadav added.Police was under pressure, thus on November 29, 2011 an ASI Kesar Singh his crime register stated that some informer given him specific input on the role of the then accused Diamond Desilva, Rubin, Malaki Jones and Mahesh Lot. “All of them were arrested by the police,” Yadav added.
