Allahabad Kumbh mela to have a panorama on Indian cinema

The history of Indian cinema, both Hindi and regional, will be showcased during the Kumbh. The Kumbh mela, which is expected to attract more than 10 crore people from across the country and abroad, is a perfect platform to present our rich cultural traditions,” adds Tiwari. Film festivals and discussions about cinema by prominent personalities will be organised for which we will invite people from the Hindi film Industry and vernacular cinemas as well. Several thousand artists will participate in this event.

The Ministry of Culture, that will host a series of cultural events called Sanskritik Kumbh during the religious fair, has also included cinema in its list of activities scheduled to take place at the mela.According to actor and politician, Manoj Tiwari , “Amir Chand, a national office bearer of Sanskar Bharti, has been made the convener of the Sanskritik Kumbh and we recently met in Mumbai to plan out things for the mega event. Film festivals and discussions about cinema by prominent personalities will be organised for which we will invite people from the Hindi film Industry and vernacular cinemas as well.
