UPSESSB cancels nearly 70,000 applications for non-existent posts

ALLAHABAD: UP Secondary Education Service Selection Board invalidated 69,830 applications for 341 posts of 8 subjects in TGT-PGT 2016 exam for govt aided colleges. The written exam was scheduled to take place from September 27. The advertisement was released by the Samajwadi Party govt for the posts which were non-existant.The fault came to fore when the board was preparing for the exams. The board has asked for a probe into the advertisement. The subjects for which the applications were invited included Botany and Music, Biology, Music, Craft, Art, Typing and Stenographer Typing.According to the board, the applicants can apply for other subjects if they wish to do so or their application fees would be returned.
