470 wanted criminals from MP hiding in UP districts

147 out of 470 absconders have taken shelter in Allahabad district alone.Allahabad SSP Nitin Tiwari said, “After obtaining police station-wise list, the district police will take steps to trace the absconders and ensure their arrest. Special police teams would also be constituted to ensure that every wanted criminal is nabbed.”In this context, the district police will also participate in border meetings. ALLAHABAD: Notwithstanding UP government claim that criminals will not be spared and have to vacate the state, the MP police has sought assistance in the arrest of its 470 fugitives, who are hiding in various districts of the state, including Allahabad, Lucknow, Meerut, Saharanpur , Kaushambi, Pratapgarh and Varanasi.In view of approaching assembly elections, the MP police has started taking precautionary measures to tighten the noose around criminal gangs and wanted criminals, after holding a series of border meetings with police of neighbouring states.In this context, the Rewa police has written to UP police to search for a total of 470 offenders, who have taken shelter in various UP districts. “As per a list provided by the MP police, most of the fugitives are taking shelter in Shankargarh, Manda, Koraon, Dhoomanganj, Kareli and Ghurpur police circles of Allahabad,” said another senior police officer adding that police of Sambharia, Panwar, Dabhaura, Janeh, Chakghat , Sohangi, Shahpur and Hanumana police stations of Rewa district has prepared the list.The MP police has also stressed on intensifying patrolling in border areas falling under the jurisdiction of Shankargarh, Khiri and Koraon police stations of Allahabad district.They have also decided to put barriers at Naribari, Bharafore, Chandrapur, Bashar, Panhat and Barokhar areas located on National Highway 30 and 35.
