Harsh Mehrotra, a city-based businessman, said, " I have to face a traffic jam daily while driving towards Leader Road from SP Marg. The situation has been persisting since the last fortnight but no effective plan has been devised to solve the problem." Today I was stuck there for well over 30 minutes.

You could either get down and try clearing the route or tweet or post about the snarl on social media and request the department to take quick action.For commuters driving along areas like Stanley Road, Teliyarganj, Lukerganj, Leprosy crossing, Baihrana, CMP Dott bridge, Gaughat, Johnstonganj and Niranjan Dott bridge, jams are a part of the day especially during peak hours.On Thursday, a demolition drive slowed down movement of vehicles between Teliyarganj and Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology.Many commuters are now taking to social media while alleging that the traffic police department has failed to come up with a plan to tackle with frequent jams in the city.The commuters have even uploaded a few suggestions on social networking sites to implore the authorities to ease traffic rush during peak hours.Despite deploying adequate traffic policemen and home guards, the problem of traffic jam is frequent.Commuters often tweet on Twitter or post on Facebook with videos and photographs of the jam and tag senior traffic police officials and request for quicker action.Garima, a commuter, said, "There's not a day when I am not stuck in a traffic jam on Stanley Road. Today I was stuck there for well over 30 minutes. The situation has been persisting since the last fortnight but no effective plan has been devised to solve the problem." Harsh Mehrotra, a city-based businessman, said, " I have to face a traffic jam daily while driving towards Leader Road from SP Marg. It's a routine affair and in order to avoid the rush I have even started using my two-wheeler instead of my car but the situation remains the same."A traffic inspector, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, "The department has increased the strength of personnel deployed on all 32 crossings and intersections in the city, given the large volume of vehicles in these areas. At least four to five traffic policemen are assigned duties at every crossing as traffic lights are not functioning these days."
