44,000 disqualified in UPTET

UP-TET is a qualifying exam for recruiting teachers in government primary and upper primary schools. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website.ERA, secretary, Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi said 34,455 rejected candidates have applied for teaching in primary schools while 9,680 belong to upper primary schools. However, due to large number of applicants, the server collapsed twice forcing the state government to come out with new web addresses and extension of last date for three times. The admit card for the exams will be made available from Tuesday onwards. ALLAHABAD: At least 44,135 of the total 18.25 lakh candidates have been disqualified from appearing in Uttar Pradesh Teachers' Eligibility Test (UPTET), 2018 by Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA) on account of ineligibility and duplicacy.Around 81% of the rejected aspirants were found to have applied twice or more.

ALLAHABAD: At least 44,135 of the total 18.25 lakh candidates have been disqualified from appearing in Uttar Pradesh Teachers' Eligibility Test (UPTET), 2018 by Examination Regulatory Authority (ERA) on account of ineligibility and duplicacy.Around 81% of the rejected aspirants were found to have applied twice or more. The admit card for the exams will be made available from Tuesday onwards. Only 8,606 applicants have been disqualified for not fulfilling academic eligibility criteria. The online application process of UP-TET 2018 was started on September 18. However, due to large number of applicants, the server collapsed twice forcing the state government to come out with new web addresses and extension of last date for three times.
