ALLAHABAD: The local police are likely to come up with the a traffic plan for Allahabad’s commuters by next week to ensure that they do not face any problems because of the rush of visitors during the Kumbh-2019.SP (traffic) Kuldeep Singh, said that the city traffic police was conducting a detailed survey about various alternative routes, strength of vehicles on those routes, busiest crossings during day and night and the strength of policemen to be deployed . These inputs would be used for drafting the traffic plan for Allahabad’s local commuters.He said that once the redesigning and construction of all 32 main crossings is complete, the department would assess the traffic burden and draft its plan accordingly.The plan would also include various routes which would be converted into one-way roads during Kumbh-2019.The traffic police department will focus on 12 main routes which are likely to witness more traffic as compared to other streets during the Kumbh-2019.The 12 routes include MG Marg, SP Marg, Nawab Yusuf Road , CMP Road, Leader Road and Balson Crossing Road.“Once the collection of i nputs is complete, we would be able to finalise the one-way and alternative routes,” Singh said.
