Actor Sanjay Mishra shoots for a short film for UP Police for Kumbh

Actor Sanjay Mishra, known for his roles in films like ' Masaan ' and 'Aankhon Dekhi,' recently shot a short film for the Uttar Pradesh Police for the Kumbh Mela -2019, in Prayagraj. Mishra shot for the short film which carries forward the UP government’s message of celebrating a ‘Divya Kumbh, Bhavya Kumbh’ by adding the UP Police’s message of also making it a ‘Surakshit Kumbh’. "The film, the first of the two being made for the Kumbh Mela, titled 'Kumbh In Making,' was shot at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) office at the Kumbh Mela area, and also the temporary police lines set up there. The efforts being put in by UP Police to make the mela safe and secure are remarkable. We roped in actor Sanjay Mishra because he gels in with our film’s theme.

The 10-minute short film showcases the efforts the UP Police will be putting in to ensure that the Kumbh Mela-2019 remains a safe and a secure place and that, the more than 12 crore people expected to be part of it, face no difficulty during their stay in Prayagraj for the religious event.Sanjay Mishra playing volleyball with the policemen during a break (BCCL/ Pankaj Singh Mishra says, "The promotional video is all about making the Kumbh a secure one for pilgrims and tourists. I feel that the fair, which is one of the biggest in the world, can be a grand affair only with the help of the citizens. The efforts being put in by UP Police to make the mela safe and secure are remarkable. They are going all out to ensure that the place will be safe and no one faces any problem. I felt really proud to be part of such an initiative."The film, the first of the two being made for the Kumbh Mela, titled 'Kumbh In Making,' was shot at the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) office at the Kumbh Mela area, and also the temporary police lines set up there. Portions were also canned at the Qila Ghat and at Sangam. SN Sabat, ADG, and Nitin Tiwari, SSP, Prayagraj, also feature in the promotional film which will be shown in cinema halls across the country.In the film, Mishra is shown giving information about the various services being offered by the police at the mela. "It's incredible the way the state police is gearing up for the mela. One can appraoch them for anything during their stay at the mela," says Mishra.SN Sabat, ADG, prepares for a shot for the short film (BCCL/ Pankaj Singh)Talking about the whole idea of making this film, Om Prakash Singh , Director General, UP Police, says, "The entire idea to make a film on ‘Kumbh In Making’ by UP Police is to showcase our preparedness for a Surakshit Kumbh. We roped in actor Sanjay Mishra because he gels in with our film’s theme.
