ALLAHABAD: After simplifying human lives for years, technological advances are on their way to fetch you your share of blessings.The Ram Naam Bank will now enable devotees to write Lord Ram’s name on cloud-based platform Google Drive and then submit it to Ram Naam Seva Sansthan—the organisation running the bank—online.Earlier, the Ram Naam Seva Sansthan used to provide booklets to devotees. It is believed that the deed fetches people blessings of Lord Ram The organisation would discontinued the practise of distributing the booklets from Kumbh-2019, which commences from January 15.Each devotee will have to create an account and will be called a ‘Ram Account Member’ (RAM). However, during Kumbh-2019, the organisation will launch a cloud computing platform to enable devotees submit write Ram’s name on a digital interface and submit it online,” Varshney said.“The platform will help devotees from abroad to submit the booklets online,” he added.During the 2013 Maha Kumbh, devotees had submitted the booklets online via e-mails and even after uploading them on pen drives and hard discs.“The Ram Naam Bank also launched an Android app after January 15 at Sangam area, which would make it easier for anyone to write Ram’s name from anywhere,” Varshney said.Around 9,000 foreign devotees are also expected to connect with the Ram Naam Bank during the Kumbh-2019. They will get a username and a password to access their records.“Once they’ve written ‘Ram’ 108 times, they can submit the booklet online to the Ram Naam Seva Sansthan via Google Drive,” said director of Ram Naam Bank, Ashutosh Varshney.The Ram Naam Seva Sansthan also introduced the Ram Naam app during the 2016 Magh Mela .Once a devotee finishes with a booklet and submits it, he she will receive an automated acknowledgement on their email.“Since the past five or six decades, Ram Naam Bank has been providing booklets to devotees to write the name of Lord Ram.
